LUXURY TOWN GARDEN, RICHMOND HILL
Designed by Peter Reader Landscapes, we built this beautiful, contemporary garden in the heart of Richmond.
Strong architectural lines dominate the space, softened by carefully curated planting that breaks the hard lines of paving and the rendered raised beds.
Raised seating pads ‘float’ above the paving, adding subtle drama, especially at night when a low-level glow lights the pads from underneath.
Seating pads, patios and paths are laid to a warm, buff-coloured, textured limestone to connect with the brick of this period property. A stepping-stone path winds around the perimeter of the lawn, connecting the different seating areas.
A bespoke globe sculpture by Daivd Harbour sits as a focal point in the garden, adding atmosphere and contributing to the overall feeling of luxury.
Four beautiful multi-stem Betula pendula sit against a boundary wall, helping screen the view into neighbouring buildings. These are underplanted with a generous mix of grasses, herbaceous perennials and ornamental shrubs that creates a stunning backdrop to this garden.
